SLCC commencement exercises will take place Friday, May 2 at 10 a.m. in Redwood Campus' Lifetime Activities Center. The commencement ceremony will honor graduates with their degrees and certificates. This year's keynote speaker for the ceremony will be Geralyn White Dreyfous. The 2007 graduating class was the largest ever for SLCC, and ranked in the top in size of all graduating classes across the country. Graduation exercises are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. with graduates required to line up outside the Lifetime Activities Center by 8:45 a.m. The procession of SLCC faculty and graduates will begin at 9 a.m.… Post the First Comment

A few SLCC students recently had the opportunity to travel to a remote unconventional classroom in the jungles of Iquitos, Peru for a life changing experience they will never forget. Tropical Pathology and Infectious Disease Association (TPaIDA) is a private, educational organization designed to teach students in the basic science, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious tropical diseases while providing medical assistance to other countries.… Post the First Comment

"Forgetting Sarah Marshall" definitely proves that the vulnerable, yet still horny side of a man can be sad and funny at the same time. Jason Segel, who plays Peter Bretter, delivers the best "guy gone whiney girl" after he gets dumped by his cheating girlfriend, Sarah Marshall played by Kristen Bell. Segel's character is a music composer whose works include creating ominous and cool theme songs for terrible action cop sitcoms. His now-ex-girlfriend is the main star of a disaster cop show. More than 12,000 runners along with thousands of volunteers and viewers hit the streets to participate in the annual Salt Lake City Marathon yet again early Saturday April 19.
