Three and a half years ago, I half-heartedly submitted my resume to this newspaper. I never would have thought that I would have stayed so long on the newspaper staff, but today I see that it was the best decision of my life.

I have run the gauntlet in the college journalism world.

Author, Richard Paul Evans, Speaks About Money

When Richard Paul Evans was a boy, his family was uninsured and he was sleeping on the floor outside the kitchen. Money was tight because his dad had been injured at work and he was the provider for a family of 10.

Now Evans is a multi millionaire who has 42 sources of income, 12 consecutive New York Times best-selling books and his novels have been made into television productions. While listening to the "wealthiest man he knew," Evans took notes and decided to apply what he learned to his life. By the time he was 16, he had paid for a car with cash. By 18, Evans had enough money to pay for college and a church mission. By 30, he was a multi millionaire.

The cost of unleaded and diesel gasoline hit an all-time record high in Utah and the nation last week, thus forcing Utahns to pinch their pennies even more, especially already poor college students.

The cost of a gallon of unleaded gasoline in the state rose to a record $3.

It has been an interminable six weeks between the Texas primaries and the Pennsylvania vote on April 22. Despite Senator Hillary Clinton's victory in the Keystone state on Tuesday, the paradox faced by the Democratic leaders has not changed. Does the party challenge its "Jeffersonian" principles by going against the popular vote and give the nomination to Clinton based on perception among the party elite?

Clinton's margin of victory was 10 percent in Pennsylvania.

More than 12,000 runners along with thousands of volunteers and viewers hit the streets to participate in the annual Salt Lake City Marathon yet again early Saturday April 19. The traditional 26.2 mile marathon spread throughout the east side of the valley making it a little tough to get around for drivers, but nevertheless a huge success.

Utah Homeless Need Help

Try to imagine your bed being the cold hard concrete, or the roof over your head during a big rain or snow storm being a cardboard box.

The sad fact is that this is what the homeless people on the streets of Utah deal with almost everyday.

The vast, growing number of homeless people on our streets is increasing and many people who can help this horrible situation seem to just look the other way.

'Sarah Marshall': A Chick Flick for Guys?

"Forgetting Sarah Marshall" definitely proves that the vulnerable, yet still horny side of a man can be sad and funny at the same time.

Jason Segel, who plays Peter Bretter, delivers the best "guy gone whiney girl" after he gets dumped by his cheating girlfriend, Sarah Marshall played by Kristen Bell. Segel's character is a music composer whose works include creating ominous and cool theme songs for terrible action cop sitcoms. His now-ex-girlfriend is the main star of a disaster cop show. It's hard forgetting about your ex when you see her everyday on the screen while you figure out what crappy song you'll play next for her show.
Not that my question will ever appear in the Globe, but my concern is the complacency of American citizens toward illegal persons using our resources that American citizens are paying for.
